General Information
Situated in the Commercial zone ""Futuria Center"" at the doors of Arezzo, attainable in a few minutes from the train station and from the motorway tollgate, the Hotel Truciolini, endowed with ample private parking.

Arezzo
The few traces that have remained are nevertheless important: short stretches of wall; the remains of a necropolis on the Poggio del Sole, the two famous bronzes of the Chimera and the Minerva (V and III centuries B. C., Florence Archaeological Museum), which came to light in the l6th century; vases made of bucchero (a typically Etruscan black terracotta) and imported Greek pottery (Euphronios' crater, Arezzo Archaelogical Museum).
The attractive scenario of the Giostra del Saracino (Joust of the Saracen-see below) in the heart of the medieval city. Its unusual shape-trapezoid, with an strongly sloping surface - occupies the lower part of the old platea communis which dated back to about 1200 and had a much wider perimeter than the current square.This is an impressive Gothic construction, which was begun at the end of the 13th century and continued , with several interruptions, until the beginning of the 16th.
Its bulk dominates the top of the hill of Arezzo and rises up above all the views of the town.The first archeological evidence of the existence of an urban site - the future Arretium - goes back to the VI century B.C.. Situated on the high part of the hill, it flourished to such an extent that it became one of the twelve lucumonie (city-states) of Etruria.
